Couples and Family Counselling
A place to talk things through and find a way back to each other. We see couples and families in person across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Northern NSW, and by telehealth Australia-wide.
How We Can Help
Most relationships hit a rough stretch at some point. Counselling gives you somewhere neutral to talk about what isn’t working, with someone who isn’t taking sides. From there, you can start sorting out what needs to change.
Our clinicians see couples at any stage of a relationship. We also work with families dealing with conflict, parenting difficulties, separation or blended-family life. Stress, illness or disability in the household affects everyone living in it, and that is worth talking about too.

What We Can Work On Together
- Communication breakdown and arguments that keep repeating
- Rebuilding trust and intimacy
- Parenting and co-parenting challenges
- Separation, divorce and blended families
- Conflict between parents, teenagers and siblings
- Adjusting to major life changes, illness or disability in the family
- Grief and loss within the family
- Strengthening a relationship before problems grow
How It Works
1. Reach out
Get in touch. One partner or one family member is enough to get things started.
2. We hear every voice
Early sessions give each person a proper turn to say how they see things, without it tipping into an argument.
3. We build together
You go away with practical things to try between sessions. The aim is that they still make sense long after counselling finishes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do we both need to attend every session?
Not necessarily. Joint sessions do most of the work in couples counselling, but individual sessions are often part of it as well. With families, who comes along can change as things move on.
What if my partner or family member won’t come?
You can still start on your own. When one person changes how they respond, the dynamic between everyone often shifts with it. Reluctant partners sometimes come along later, once they notice something is different.
Is what we say confidential?
Yes. Sessions are confidential. At the start we’ll explain how we handle information shared between partners or family members, so everyone knows where they stand before they speak.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can contact us directly to book couples or family counselling.
Ready to reconnect?
